TNG ComX High CPU Usage

We have TNG on comX running but have regular issues with high cpu usage which effects call quality.

We wish to install the TNG on it's own server and wish to know how to transfer the data and license between the installations.

To look at some general issues that can cause the high CPU usage, please refer to forum post:
High memory usage with TNG and Asterisk on Linux box

For COMX there is a special install, refer to forum post:
Where to I find the TNG for COMX(Far South) install?
Did you use this install or the general TNG for Asterisk install? Note that you must use this as install, not the general TNG for Asterisk install. Once this install is in place you can use the TNG for Asterisk updates. It will detect that a COMX install is running and do the upgrade accordingly.

Before you do a move, please confirm above information and we can make a suggestion.

NOTE: We would suggest running it on the same server as you will not experience access, etc. issues between the TNG and the COMX systems.

Hi there

We have tried the changes you suggested, yet we still have the issue of the system at random ending up with a high load which then effects the call quality.

We then stop TNG and everything works well.

We have another centos machine on site which we would like to put the TNG on.

Please can you advise as to how we migrate TNG to a new server.

I could like to get a better idea of the setup, please supply the following information:

How much memory is in the Asterisk server?
What is the call capacity percentage set to?
What is the flush to drive interval set to?
Is only TNG and Asterisk running on the server?

To ensure minimum resources is used, check the following settings is in place:

  1. Re: TNG4* Custom CSV is correct format but not logging calls

  2. If you are using the master.csv file with file input option, this file is moved to the processed folder - you thus have a backup if needed to re-import. If you have log rawdata set to PERMANENT, you can disable it - refer to forum post: How do I enable logging of rawdata?
