Drop the country code plus local code from extension numbers

Postby annam » Wed Oct 31, 2012 11:10 am

TNG adds a prefix of the country code and local code to all four digit numbers. These are internal (local)extensions and sometimes interbranch extensions. Therefore the local code is not relevant to extension belonging to other national branches. I would like to drop the countrycode + Local code from the extension number.

If TNG 'knows' that it is an internal call, it will not add the prefix. I will suggest using at least TNG version 1.0.7.6.

Please add your extension list/range under the configure extension option:
How do I import extensions from a file into TNG?

If the PABX does not give off an action code that helps us identify it as internal, TNG will not know that it is an internal call. You can check this under call action. The trunk/line number of an internal call can also be 'INTERNAL', depending on the PABX(you can check this on the 'Call List' page).

NOTE: if a number is partially dialed it can look like an extension number. The PABX gives off the partially dialed number as the telephone number. If it is not an internal call, TNG will then add the country and area code.
