TNG Software not Logging from the Buffer

Postby culrich » Wed May 16, 2012 9:27 am

Hi

I am having serious problems with a TNG Buffer Unit.
I have installed it to a Physical machine and it started working fine, after about 3 to 4 days it stops logging from the buffer to the Software.
I have to restart the service and sometimes restart the server 3 or 4 times and only the following day does the software log again.

Regards
Carl

For buffer not detected issues, please refer to forum post: My TNG buffer is not being detected

Note TNG has the feature to alert you if no calls has been received for a configured period within your office hours, please refer to forum post: TNG Alarm Configuration (TNG v1.0.6.5 or newer)

Thanks very much Belinda
Unfortunatley thats the weird thing. It does not say that the buffer is a problem.
The software looks like it is working but no calls are showing for the current date, only the date in the picture.
Even reports show no new calls.

Hi,
Which PBX model are you connecting too?
Are you using a Serial connection to the PBX or a network connection?

Are there any errors in the TNG logs?

Thanks Leon

The PBX is a Mitel 3300
Connection is via the network and I have asked the PBX installer to configure it to send results, which it does for a while and then stops.
I have attached a screenshot of the logs, the dates look very odd.
I have also attached some logs the last date that it looked like it connected was 03/05/2012

I have installed another one of these units in their JHB branch and its working perectly, its just this one.

Thanks
Carl

I see no Raw.txt files, that means that "Log Rawdata" option is not enabled in the Settings of TNG.
You can enable it under the Communications Configuration. This will allow future rawdata to be captured.

There is also a new feature in TNG 1.1.1.8 that allows it to try and re-connect to Network PBXs if the connection is not supplying information for more than an hour.

We are preparing the update for normal release, but I have added a Link for you.
Please make sure your TNG subscription is up to date before you try this, as updates are only allowed if the subscription is up to date.
