Spoke to Belinda regarding the following:
Why when a number is phone twice, but the first time its phoned with not enough digits do the to get priced the same?
And why when a number is called and there is no ring time, and the number was phoned twice and the second time also no ring time do it get billed for a full call?

NOTE: TNG will only report the call details it receives from your PABX. You can check the rawdata (if it was enabled) to confirm this. See post: How do I enable logging of rawdata?

To explain your 2 queries, please see:

  • Incomplete phone number:

If you dialed numbers and then terminate it, the PABX will still send off the call details as it sees it as a call that took place. Telkom does not cost this call as it can determine when a connection was made, which the PABX cannot. For analog systems you will thus have the ringtime as part of the call duration. Digital system will give a ringtime and duration. Both Analog and Digital systems will give off a duration for partially dialed / incorrect numbers.

TNG has the feature to discard calls with minimum duration, please see: TNG Costing of calls. You can use this feature to discard incorrectly dialed numbers. NOTE: you cannot apply this setting to historic calls.

  • Duplicate calls:

The call details looks the same, but we cannot see the trunk number. If not on the same trunk it is 2 different calls. Please check the PABX model you have, as the features available can explain the 'duplicate' call. For one example see: Ericsson: Duplicate calls on same extension
