LMS Integration with Tng

Postby pappachanphilip » Thu Feb 14, 2013 12:30 pm

Hi,

A tng is working with Panasonic tda 30 system. Tng is working fine. They wanted to integrate the system with LMS. I Send all the details i can get from this site and TNG Export file too.
they shoot me with these question. HELP Please.

.1. There were no account codes in the file, how do these get into the TNG system? We have an export of account codes with details in it. This is how we work with most other companies that do a similar thing to you. Attached is a sample of the file created. (The file will be located in the DsApps\Interface\Exports folder. As soon as a new matter is created or changed its entered into this file so you can import it into your system.
2. We need to know the location of the file you give us. All other systems we have interfaces with are able to place the file in the DsApps\Interface\Imports folder, if you could that it would be most helpful else the client will need to copy the file manually into the folder.
3. We need clarification on the actual file created from TNG. According to the details provided you create a file for the day. Can you rather create a file called TNG.txt and place all entries into that file. When we import those entries into LMS, we will then rename the file to TNG.bak so those entries will not be imported again causing duplications. Imports can then be run as the client wishes either every day or more than once a day or every few days. We find this works best for all our clients and would be the same way we receive the information from Topaz (in a file called Caseware.DAT). If you cannot do that please clarify how those entries get into the file, is it automatically as the entry is done or is there an export done?

The questions you have has been answered in the previous post - refer to topic:
TNG Integration with LMS

Answers to your questions:

  1. TNG has 'pin codes' and 'account codes'. If these values are available is PABX dependant.

For Panasonic TDA format and plugin to use with TNG see forum post:
Which plugin do I use for the Panasonic TDA?

Note: That Panasonic's uses the term 'account code' when TNG uses 'pin code'. In TNG pin code is the access code(code that allows you to access the phone) and account code is an identification code (for example code to identify a client).

TNG does not export 'pin codes' - for security reasons, you need to use the 'user names' the pin codes is linked to - see field name 'username' in the export file. If you are using account codes, then check the TNG EXport format for the field name 'AccountCode'.

For export file layout and field names see forum post: TNG EXPORT FORMAT

To see the user name and pin code configuration, go to the Reports page. Under 'System Reports' use the 'User Listing' report and select by for example Department and do not specify anything - it will list all user names with the pin code configured.

  2. From TNG version 1.0.6.0 onwards for Windows version the file path is:
    C:\Program Files\datatex\tng\export\{yyyymmdd.txt}

NOTE: The '{yyyymmdd.txt}' is the export file name, for example '20130214.txt'. For each day a file is created and the date used as the file name. This file is in our standard output format. See export format for file layout.

Each time a call record is loaded into TNG, it is also written to the export file (located on the TNG PC in the default file path). Note that you also have an option to connect to a port to get the same data - refer to 'TCP port' option under 'Export options' section in forum post: TNG EXPORT FORMAT

  3. The output path for the export file is fixed. We create a file for each day, but it is placed in the same folder. The file is uniquely identified by the date. To use one path to access all files you can use:

    Code: Select all
    C:\Program Files\datatex\tng\export\*.txt
