Steps to verify if the buffer has the key that TNG decodes

Please follow the following steps to test your buffer.

1. Stop the TNG service
2. Connect to putty
   How to Connect to a Buffer using Putty
3. Select the connection type Serial and enter the correct comport and baudrate
4. type

   Code: Select all

   CODE 1111

   and press enter
5. If it has the key it will display the

   Code: Select all

   E3D0

   code

6. If it displays a different code from "E3DO" the buffer has to be returned to Datatex to upgrade the buffer with new programming and serial number.
