Changes for Emerald version 1.1

TSP
Emerald now has a first-party TSP which allows third-party software to use
Emerald's features, similar to the dialer. A first-party TSP provides
one device to work with, so each PC can control one extension. With the
dialer, most software would require modification to use Emerald. The TSP
provides a more common interface via the Microsoft TAPI. Applications
like Microsoft Outlook, the Windows dialer, CRM packages and pop-up
applications can all use Emerald's network connectivity to communicate
with the PBX from a desktop PC.

The Emerald TSP supports TAPI 1.4, 2.0 and 2.1. Now any TAPI-compliant
program can dial, receive notification of call progress, set forwarding,
answer, etc.

Outlook pop-up
A small program called Outlook pop-up is also provided, which will show
the Outlook contact who called you. This program requires the TSP.
You can now configure a mask to be used with the Outlook pop-up so it can
find numbers in Outlook, depending on how you store your Outlook numbers.

DTP

The TAPI Interface for the Panasonic PBXs can now show unanswered
calls and ring times on those PBXs which don't have this feature.
These can be enabled individually.
A minor bug where the main DTP window would show every 5 minutes has
been fixed.
Since the Panasonic KXTD range do not include seconds in the time of
the calls, DTP will now use the system seconds (version 1.1.1)
DTP will now send CLI information to Topaz. You need Topaz 1.5.0.7
or later if you use this feature.

Emerald Server

Now sends less network packets if there are many extensions. There
are now 100 extensions per packet, instead of 1 extension per packet.
This fixes a bug with missing extensions when you have many extensions.
Fixed minor bug with licensing of seats.
Fixed bug where the dialer would not get the correct status when a
transfer failed.
Line pickup behaviour has been changed. It should now work on
transferred and forwarded calls as well (version 1.1.1)
Caller ID should now come through on transferred calls (version 1.1.1)

Dialer

Updated to work with new Emerald server
Speed dials do not give errors when the name is blank
Removed messaging - this will be added back at a later stage
Removed missed calls counter - this will be added back at a later stage
The dialer can now pop-up Outlook Contacts for numbers
Message about active COM objects when shutting down Windows should
no longer appear. If you still receive this message, you may need to do
a "dialer /regserver".
You can now transfer, forward and conference with external numbers. You
must use the hangup feature on the dialer (and not just put down the handset)
when doing a transfer or conference, or it will not work. You can not do a
blind transfer to external numbers.
The dialer now minimizes instead of closing when you click on the "X"
button on the main screen. You must use the icon on the system tray to close
the dialer (version 1.1.1)
The speed dial menu will no longer duplicate items when editing (version 1.1.1)

VIP

The search facility now shows up to 100 results, and not just enough
to fill the screen.
VIP can recover from network problems - it will try to reconnect
automatically, and will display a message if it can't
Photos can now be attached. JPEG, PNG and BMP file formats are
supported. Images will be resized to fit the display window and
compressed when they are stored in the database. The average image
size is approximately 25kb. This only affects the image in the database,
and not the image you loaded from.
The transfer and conference windows now show the correct titles,
instead of "Forwarding".
The main screen will not be displayed until VIP has finished
starting up. This fixes a bug where VIP would crash if you clicked on
it too soon after startup.
International dialing for companies now works
VIP will now display over other applications when the hotkey is used
Search now searches name, address and number fields. Previous
versions would only search number fields if the name and address searches
returned nothing.
When doing a search, if you're on the companies screen, it will first
search companies and if no results are found, it will search for people.
The people screen works the same way where it searches for people first,
and then companies (version 1.1.1)

Please note that older dialers will not work with the new Emerald.
Everything should be upgraded to at least version 1.1.1 for best results.
The TSP cannot be used at the same time as the dialer.
