- The Ericsson BP PABX does not have an account code barring feature.
We use the Virtual extension setup as account code barring, see forum post
Barring on the Ericsson BP250
The plugin is only used with the standard output settings, see forum post:
Ericsson BP250/BP50 settings to use with Topaz/TNG
Please note: When using the virtual extension as the account code(TOPAZ)/pin code(TNG) to bar:
- Version 2005.12.9.0 of plugin, PEricssonBP_CIL3HotelFormat9V6R14.dll, places the virtual extension in the EXTENSION field in TOPAZ and therefore no account code (or physical extension the call was made from). You link the budget of the USER to the EXTENSION. If you pull the report by EXTENSION, it will display the virtual extension used to dial out with for outgoing calls and the physical extension the call was received on for incoming calls or outgoing calls made without an 'account code'.
download and unrar:
To install the plugin see:
How do I manually load a plugin - Version 2008.9.25.1 of plugin, PEricssonBP_CIL3HotelFormat9V6R14_Virtual_ext_as_account, places the virtual extension in the ACCOUNT code field in TOPAZ / the PIN CODE field in TNG and the physical extension in the EXTENSION field. You link the budget of the USER to the ACCOUNT code. If you pull the report by EXTENSION, it will display the physical extension used to dial out with for outgoing calls aswell as for incoming calls.

How do I enable logging of rawdata?
In this example:
a = Pin Code (not Used in TOPAZ) - position 68-82[14 characters]
b = Virtual Extension(Account Code) -position 84-87[4 characters]
c = Physical Extension(Extension) - position 20-23[4 characters]
NOTE: Above terminology is Ericsson and TOPAZ/TNG in brackets. Ericsson does not have an account code, so we have to use the Virtual extension(TOPAZ has an Account code and in TNG we use the 'TOPAZ account code' as pin code). Ericsson has a pin code value, but we do not use this for barring as Ericsson does not support this feature.
With reference to TOPAZ:
Take care with linking the USER to an EXTENSION and ACCOUNT code. If no 'virtual extension' is used, the USER linked to the physical extension will reflect as the person who made the call (keep in mind the extension is open for any person to phone from). If the same user is linked to the extension and account code, calls will show that was made from the extension as if it was made by the user linked to that extension (and account code).
With reference to TNG:
Only the pin code is linked to the user name. Extension is linked to a extension description. If you pull a user report it will show all the calls made with the pin code the user is linked to. If you pull an extension detail report it will show all the calls made from an extension. If a pin code was used to make the call from that extension then it will show the user name, if no pin code and/or no user name linked to it the extension description will show.
