TNG 4* update 2012

Requirements

1. a working TNG for Asterisk
2. INTERNET ACCESS ONCE OF FOR REGISTRATION ONLY

STEPS:

1. Download the following update:
   TNGLive Linux (and Asterisk): http://www.tnglive.co.za/downloads/tngl ... e-1_1_1_11
   NOTE: right-click to download
   
   
2. Load the update on the Asterisk server
   
   
   • Virtual Machine:
     
     
     • Winscp will be needed to place the package/upgrade onto the machine if virtual which is running TNG.
       A portable versions of Winscp can be downloaded fromhttp://portableapps.com/

     • Enter the host name of the PABX/IP e.g. 192.168.15.159
       
       A username and Password will be required to connect to the server.
       Once logged in the user will be in the home directory copy the TNG update to this location.

   • If the Asterisk TNG is a physical machine the usb drive can be mounted.
     
     
     • Make a mount point in the mnt directory.
       Please note the user has to be root sudo -s -H and the users password.
       e.g.:mkdir usb
       mount the usb mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/usb
       Remember to unmount the usb when done umount /dev/usb
     • Direct yourself to the mount location:
       cd /mnt/usb
       
     • (Copy the updates into the tng folder e.g./home/datatex if virtual)
       If the machine is physical one can run the update from the usb (if there is a problem copy the file to the /home directory)
       
       Please note the user has to be root sudo -s -H and the users password.
3. chmod +x tnglive-update to make it executable

4. run the update ./tnglive-update
   
   IF YOUR SUBSCRIPTION IS EXPIRED THE UPDATE WILL FAIL WITH THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE:
   
   

   Code: Select all

   root@tngtest:/home/datatex# ./tnglive-update-1_1_1_11-2
Aborting Update: TNG subscription has expired.  If you upgrade to these rates, TNG will not cost calls


   
   
5. Once TNG is upgraded it will be in live mode. The TNG Live mode has limited features until activated. To activate the TNG 4 * it will need internet access once off to register and be permanently activated.
