How to re-import exported TNG data with PIN Codes

Postby John Richard Procter » Mon Jul 18, 2011 1:49 am

NOTE: This import option is only needed if you do not have rawdata and can only use the export files to re-impot your data and you require user names.

If you have rawdata rather use the re-import rawdata option:
: How do I import rawdata into TNG?

If your database is damaged, then you must first blank the database and then import all the data you require: How do I blank the TNG call details?

Steps to import:

If you have a network connection to the PABX, TNG will not load data for the time that you use this import option. We suggest doing it after hours.

  • Enter the TNG icon on the desktop/start menu
  • Once logged into the TNG
  • Enter general settings

  • Enter the technical password.
  • Scroll down to communication congfiguration

Make notes of your settings before you change it to the file reader mode.

  1. Select file reader in the communication mode
  2. PABX interface PTNGExport.dll [Required Version 2009.05.20.1 or newer ]
  • Apply all changes

  • Enter user configuration

  • Add the names of the users in the name and pin code section.

The pin code and user name will be the same value (both will be the user name as displayed in the Export file). Please compare the user names in your Export files to that under 'Configure Users' and add where different.

NOTE that the Pin code field will only take the first 15 characters.

  • Load the export data[located in "C:\Program files\Datatex\TNG\Export" folder] in the TNG import folder [located in "C:\Program files\Datatex\TNG\Import" folder]
NOTE: In Windows 64 Bit the TNG is located in "C:\Program files (X86)\Datatex\TNG\"

For more details refer to:How do I re-import purged/exported data into TNG?

If you need to blank the TNG database, see forum post: How do I blank the TNG call details?
You first need to blank the database and then do the re-import.

  • Allow time to completed the import.
All records imported will be written todays Export file. You can view it to see the date of calls already loaded.
  • Go back to the home page to the Data synchronization Icon
    sync.png
  • Select Pin users and then Apply Changes
  • Then go to reports draw the reports

  • Select User Detailed report
  • Select users tab
And the Appropriate dates of the raw data
NOTE: MAKE THE FROM DATE A MONTH BEFORE THE TO DATE

NOTE: Once the import is complete, change your settings back to allow live import of call details again.
