My Epygi Radius service stopped and I have no data in TNG

The TNG Epygi Radius service connects to the Epygi PABX to receive call details. If the service is stopped, then no call details will be received until started up again.

  • To prevent the service from stopping you can set it in Windows:

START -> CONTROL PANEL -> ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS -> SERVICES,
right-click on TNGEpygiRadius service and select PROPERTIES.
Under the RECOVERY tab set First Failure, Second Failure, Subsequent Failures
    to RESTART THE SERVICE.

Restart the PC to enable the setting.

NOTE: While the TNG Epygi Radius service is stopped, no call details will be received and call details will thus be lost.

  • To be notified if TNG has not received call details during trading hours, you can use the TNG Alarm feature, see forum post:

    http://forums.datatex.co.za/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=2140&p=2145&

  • We have noted that the EPYGI Radius service was disabled/stopped by a virus and therefore cause call data to be lost. Please install anti-virus software, spaceware, etc. on your TNG PC to ensure that your data is not compromised.

NOTE: Scanning software must run outside trading hours to prevent interferance with working of TNG. Also schedule update of this software outside trading hours.

You also need to allow TNG and the TNGEpygiRadius services in anti-virus software.

  • Power settings on the PC, can also cause this:

    XP:

START -> CONTROL PANEL -> POWER OPTIONS
POWER SCHEME, Turn off Harddisk: set to NEVER
