All my telephone numbers has a leading 9

Issue:

My calls are not costing correct. The telephone numbers has a leading 9, which causes the incorrect prefix lookup and therefore costing.

Solution:

To strip the leading 9, you need to use a plugin rule.

You can only fix the historic data, if you logged rawdata.

Steps:

  • See forum post to strip a digit for a number:
How do I strip extra digits off the telephone number?

Try to keep what you strip unique, not to modify it incorrectly.

First implement the plugin rule and check that it works correct - refer to Call List page.

  • NOTE: Please check that you have rawdata files to import before you blank the TNG database. For future use please ensure that log to rawdata is enabled:
How do I enable logging of rawdata?

  • To blank the historic data from TNG:

    • Stop the TNG service
    • Once the service is stopped, navigate to
        For Windows: C:\Program Files\datatex\tng\data
        For Linux: \opt\datatex\tng\data
    • Create a backup folder, for example the date '20120113'.
    • Move the tng '?_data-?' .dat files into the backup folder.
    • Start the TNG service.
    • Log into TNG.
    • You will now have a blank TNG and only calls terminating now will load.
You can verify this on the 'Call List' page, as it shows only the last 50 calls for today and tomorrow.

  • To re-import the rawdata files, please refer to forum link below.
