Custom ratebook: subscription expired cannot add rate book

I configured a custom ratebook and when I clicked on APPLY it gave an error message:

Your subscription has expired and you are not allowed to make rate changes.

Solution:

    Please renew your TNG annual subscription. Once subscription up to date you will be allowed to make changes to the rates.

    Please note while subscription not up to date, TNG will still load call details and cost it - you will not be able to run an update or load new rate files.
