Yes, you can export TNG reports into a csv file and the exported file can then
be viewed in Microsoft Excel.
Steps:
The report must be configured to ensure that the required information is exported.
NB: Please select the report options and preview the report before exporting.
Steps on how to export TNG reports to Excel:
- Log into TNG and click on the 'Reports' icon
- Select a report from the list, eg. Extension Detail Report
- The report options will appear, select the date range and click on 'CSV Export' instead of 'Preview'.
NOTE:
If you are running TNG 1.1.or newer:- and the buffer is not detected
To find the buffer see forum post:
My TNG buffer is not being detected - or you use the Asterisk version and was not registered
(once-off process, internet access required),
To register your TNG for Asterisk follow from step 5 in the forum post:
TNG 4* update 2012
it will be in TNGLive Free mode which does not have the Export option.
The buttons will be greyed out:
- and the buffer is not detected
- This will bring up a message prompting you to save or open the file with Excel. You may
choose either, however if you choose to open the file, it will not be saved. You will have
to save it manually from Excel.
Please Note:
All total costs on the report will be excluded when it is exported to Excel as this will
allow the user to add totals as per their preference using Excel's functionality.
If you need to see details of individual calls made, you will need to use the Extension/User Detail reports and not Department Summary by User/Extension.
