TNG call data import options

Postby Belinda Frick » Fri Mar 16, 2012 8:15 am

To import the data into TNG, you have 3 options:

  • Import export files:

Each time a call is read into TNG, it is exported to the export folder. This is a fixed format and we have a plugin that can translate it, PTNGExport.dll. For import instructions see forum post:

How do I re-import purged/exported data into TNG?

  • Import rawdata:

We also have an option to re-import rawdata. Each PABX has its own format. We use the standard output format for that PABX and have a plugin that will translate it. The plugin you use depends on the PABX brand and model. If you re-import the rawdata from the 'live' PABX you do not need to change the plugin, see import instructions in forum post:

How do I import rawdata into TNG?

If you need to import raw data from another PABX system (if for example you changed PABX models and want historic data), you need to select the required plugin.

  • Import data from Datatex software:

The only non-pabx plugin we have other than the PTNGExport.dll is the PTOPAZPIP.dll. This plugin requires a pip delimited file, for format see forum post:

    Format of a PIP file

PABX3 and DTP writes out a pip file in this format, default file paths:
    PABX3: C:\Program Files\datatex\pabx3
    DTP: C:\Program Files\datatex\dtp

    tng-dtp-filereader.jpg

You need to use the file reader option to import the pip files. Refer to forum post below,
How do I re-import purged/exported data into TNG?

but use the 'PTOPAZPIP.dll' plugin and point the input path to where PABX3/DTP is writing out the pip file:

If the 'PTopazPipe.dll' is not in the TNG folder for plugins:
    PTopazPipe.rar
Download and unrar to find .dll file. Save in the TNG plugins folder.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
