My internal calls (extension to extension) shows my country and area code in front of the extension number dialed to, for example
272122208
It should only show the extension number I dialed as if it is a telephone number, for example
2208
Overview:
If TNG thinks the value in the number field is a telephone number it will place the country and area code in front. This is for display and costing purposes.
If TNG sees it as an internal call it will not be costed and not show the country and area code in front of the number.
What does TNG see as an internal call?
- Extension to Extension calls
Please configure the extensions numbers with extension descriptions:
How do I import extensions from a file into TNG? - Call details flagged as internal:
- If the line/trunk number is 'INTERNAL' or 'VOIP-INT' or 'VOIP-EXT.
- If the call action has the wording INTERNAL.
NOTE: The call action available is PABX dependant.
Look at your call details and the fields for trunk/line and call outcome.
If your trunk/line has a value and you always dial internal calls via specific trunk numbers (not used for outgoing calls with a cost), you can setup a rule to change the trunk number to 'INTERNAL' - refer to topic
Change trunk number value to INTERNAL
With the Mitel PABX and branches it by default uses X999 as trunk for internal (branch to branch) calls. You then setup a plugin rule to change X999 to internal. Confirm with your PABX support that you site setup uses the X999 for internal calls only (calls with no cost).
