How do I move TNG call barring to another PC?

REQUIRED:

  1. TNG Callbarring uses 2 services:
    1. TNG
    2. TNG Callbarring
    3. TNG callbarring for the specific PABX:
      On which PABX units can TNG do barring?
  2. NOTE: Some PABX system require additional software or licensing. Consult your PABX vendor.
    Refer to install forum for addtional requirements: On which PABX units can TNG do barring?

To move TNG call barring all these services and required software for the PABX to allow barring must be moved. TNG services must be installed and cannot just be copied to the new PC.

STEPS:

  1. Move TNG to new PC:
    How do I re-install/move TNG?

  2. Move TNG Call Barring to new PC:

    • Install the TNGCallbarring on the new PC.
      NOTE: TNGCallBarring runs as a service and will not be installed if you copy the folder.
    • Stop the service on the new PC.
    • Stop the service on the old PC
    • Copy the PABX name in the folder 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Datatex\TNGCallBarring' to the new PC.
      NOTE: If the PC IP was updated in the ini, then it must be updated to the new IP or local IP of 127.0.0.1:
      Code: Select all
      [TNG]
      dtxCallBarring.ini:
      PORT=20003
      HOST=127.0.0.1
    • Start the service on the new PC.

  3. Move the barring service for your specific PABX.

    • Install the TNG Callbarring for your specific PABX on the new PC.
      NOTE: TNG CallBarring for your PABX runs as a service and will not be installed if you copy the folder.
    • Stop the service on the new PC.
    • Stop the service on the old PC.
    • Copy the folder 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Datatex\TNGCallBarring' to the new PC to include your budgets already configured - this will over ride the existing folder.
      NOTE: If the PC IP was updated in the ini, then it must be updated to the new IP or local IP of 127.0.0.1
    • Start the service on the new PC.
  4. Make a test call to confirm it:
    1. updates to TNG Call List page
    2. Updates the budget allocated in TNGCallbarring.
    3. Barring will only take place if budget exceeded
