It is not possible to import data into TNG without the Datatex Buffer being connected.

Requirements:
  • PIP files to import.
  • TNG version 1.0.5.6 or newer

Procedure:

To import Topaz data into TNG, you will have to export the Topaz
data to a PIP file first. If you use the PIP files that Topaz used,
combine them all into one file first.

All pip files loaded into TOPAZ is moved to 'C:\Program Files\Datatex\Topaz\OldPabxPip'.

Once you have created your file with all the call data needed to import into TNG, login
to TNG - General Settings - Communication Configuration.

Under Communication Mode, please change the following:

Configure TNG to connect via 'Filereader'

Specify the location of the combined files

Configure TNG to use the PTopazPIPE.Dll plugin.

Click on 'Apply changes'. Now the TOPAZ data will be loaded into TNG.

NB: Once complete, please change the settings back to its original communication method.

Please find a detailed TNG installation and user’s guide in the help folder on your TNG CD.

TNG 1.0.6.6 has a re-import raw data feature. This means you do not need to change the plugin or import option, you only need the raw.txt file the pabx created.
