You will have a one sided sound on your recording if your Windows Vista or Windows 7 sound settings is not set for 2 channel. Please see settings below:
- On Vista you'll need to change the recording properties.
Recording Devices (It would be the USB Audio Codec Microphone),
Properties -> Advanced
windows_vista_sounds.jpg
Change the 'Default Format' to the following: 2 channel, 16 bit, 44100Hz (CD Quality)
USBclient fixed for Vista in 1.5.2.1 update.
ONYX fixed for Vista in 1.3.0.1
- Window 7
Right-click on speaker on task bar and select 'Recording devices'.
Select Microphone with USB Audio Codec by double-clicking on it or click once,
it will have the 'Properties' button available at the bottom of the screen.
Select the 'Advanced' tab.
Select 'defalult format' as 2 channel, 16 bit, 44100Hz (CD Quality)
Note:
Do not set the sound levels to high, it will distort the sound. It will also cause incorrect triggering and thus also terminate incorrect. Start with 1% and work up from there to ensure that it does not distort.
