First put the card into the server.
Boot the server and make sure the lights on
the card go on to show that windows found it.
Install the smartworks drivers supplied.
Go to the control panel and double click on 'Smartcontrol'.
We use the default install settings, the only changes
is listed below.
At the top there is a 'Boards' tab. Select this tab.
Select the 'PABX Type' for your recording solution.
This configuration will vary and cannot be pre-configured, please
see the user guide supplied by IA-Logix.

at the start of Chapter 7 (SmartTap NGX) is a list of the supported
PABX and phone models. The firmware in the document is your
pabx type that your select for the driver.
Extension side recording:
For extension side recording the PABX must be listed, else it is not
supported. The handset model must be selected.
For example: The BP250, for Smartworks driver 3.5.0 uses the UL28
as 'pabx'. UL28 identifies the handset(220, 223, 224) used with the PABX.
Line side recording:
For BRI line recording, if your PABX is not listed, select 'BRI ISDN'.
When a AMETHYST card server or ONYXPlus was purchased from Datatex,
this configuration will be done according to the application forms and
what the quote required. Therefore no configuration should be needed
when installing the server at the site.
Line or Extension Side Recording:
For Line Side Recording enable:

Make sure that 'TDM-Encoding' is set to 'A-law'.
Restart the server and open the desired recording programs.
