Use at least the ONYX version 1.2.0.0 or newer, file name "onx-onyx-update-1_2_0_0.exe"
[www.datatex.co.za -> SUPPORT -> LOGON -> onyx]

Try the following:

Right-click on the ONYX icon,
[Show -> Settings -> Start Recording On (Trigger)]
select "Mic (you talk)".

Make sure which sound card was selected for recording
or playback. The soundcard of the USBTap is used to record and the PC soundcard is used
for playback.

ALSO SEE: When ONYX recordings have no SOUND, change audio device

Try mix type on 'Adaptive'.

The triggel level can be set in the ONYX.ini file. The
default is 8.

When you have ONYX open and you are not on speaking
on the phone, watch the blue bar and the trigger number if
you make a noise. When you now pick a the phone and make a
call check if the number goes higher than when you made the
noise. If so you can set the trigger level to a figure less
than when you are speaking on the phone.

ONYX must be closed when you are making changes to the ini
file.

C:\Program Files\Datatex\Onyx\ONYX.ini
[SETTINGS]
TRIGGERLEVEL=8
