Searching for an ONYX recording

Postby Belinda Frick » Thu Dec 09, 2010 2:21 pm

Right-click on the ONYX icon and click SHOW to open ONYX.
At the top of the page is a PLAYBACK tab. Click on it.

Various ways to find your recording:

If you know any specific information about the
recording you can narrow down the search by:

Typing what you know in the edit boxes provided
underneath the headings:

Date and Time - e.g. 2004-06-28 14:30:05
Destination - e.g. text entered while recording took place
Number - e.g. text entered while recording took place
Subject - e.g. text entered while recording took place
Duration - e.g. 00:00:35
Reference - e.g. 07D49C123456
(This unique code was displayed next to "Reference" while the
recording took place)
Notes - e.g text entered while recording took place
or text added at a later stage

You do not have to enter all the information in order for the
search to work, for example if you entered "Test call" in the
subject line while the recording took place, you can type only
"call" in the search box. All recordings with this word will
display in the grid below.

Now click on the "SEARCH" button in the top right corner.

You can use the buttons provided. This is the easiest
method. There a four buttons:

ALL RECORDINGS: This button will show ALL recordings saved in
your recording directory. (Regardless of what you typed in the
search boxes as mentioned above.)

CALLS THIS MONTH: This button will show the recordings made in
the current month. If you have text in the search boxes your search
will be narrowed down to include only calls made in the current
month with those keywords/search text. (Incl. text typed in the
search boxes)

CALLS TODAY: This button works similar to "CALLS THIS MONTH"
except for narrowing your search down to calls made during the
course of the day (thus only today's calls). (Incl. text typed
in the search boxes)

CALLS THIS HOUR: This button works similar to the previous two
points mentioned. (Incl. text typed in the search boxes)

Your recording will be listed in the grid below. If there are
multiple recording lines the recordings will be listed from
old to new. To listen to your recording, add notes or view
the screenshots, choose your recording by double-clicking
on your "recording line".

This will open up a new page with all the details about your
recording. There is a playback bar at the top left corner.
Click on the triangle to listen to the recording.

> Also note that you are able to add notes to
your recording's NOTES section on this
recording form. The added notes will automatically
be updated with your current recording details.
(Thus you will be able to search on these notes and
it will be included on your e-mail.)
