How do I manually set the TEACH value?

Postby Belinda Frick » Tue Feb 07, 2012 4:44 pm

The value is set in the ONYXRecordingCore.ini. The file is in the folder 'C:\Program Files\datatex\Onyx'.

Sample of [SETTINGS] section in ini file:

Code: Select all
    [SETTINGS]
    DEVICEID=0
    RECORDINGTYPE=0
    MIN_PING_SERVER=5
    TRIGGER=19
    TRIGGERSET=0
    SCREENPOP=0
    WRAPUPTIME=5
    USERANDCOMPUTER=0
    EXTENSION=305
    SCREENSHOTON=0
    SAMPLECOUNT=1
    SAMPLEINTERVAL=1
    SNAPSHOTINTERVAL=1
    AQMMINDUR=0
    AGC=0
    REMOTESTARTSTOP=0
    CLIENTSTATE=0
    USERIGHT=1
    ONYXMODE=1
    VERSION=USB 2.0.1.13
    OUTLOOK=0
    OUTLOOKSUPER=
    ACTIVELISTENPORT=3089
    UPGRADE=0
    INTENSITY=0
    CTIMINDURATION=15

If the trigger is set, TRIGGERSET will be '1' and TRIGGER will have a value above zero:
Code: Select all
    TRIGGER=19
    TRIGGERSET=1

You will need to 'play' with the TRIGGER value to get the correct setting.

To save the ini file with the new TRIGGER value:
  • you need to stop the Recording Core service:
    START -> CONTROL PANEL -> ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS -> SERVICES,
    click on the ONYX Recording Core service and then the stop link (top left hand side).
  • Edit the TRIGGER value.
  • Save the 'ONYXRecordingCore.ini' file.
  • Now you can start the service to pick up the new setting:
    START -> CONTROL PANEL -> ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS -> SERVICES,
    click on the ONYX Recording Core service and then the start link (top left hand side).
  • Make a test call to see if it triggers correct.
  • You will need to repeat the process for each time you change the trigger value

Note: The TRIGGER value will vary for individual phones - there are no set value.
