After changes have been made to the PABX, the Tapi driver doesn't pick up
the changes.
After moving an extension from one point in the call centre to another point,
information for that extension can no longer be gathered. The rest of the
extensions work fine though.
If the Ruby or other Datatex software can't pick up the extensions, ensure that
the extension has been configured as "EXT + [extension number]. E.g. "EXT1234"
To configure EXT infront of the device name, go to:
Start -> Control panel -> Phone and modem options -> Advanced -> Ericcsson tapi converter ->
Configure ->telephoney service provider.
It has been noted for some installation that the tsp is found under
Start -> Control panel -> Phone and modem options -> Advanced -> TAPI Bridge
Configure the name as ext1234.
Just below the above configuration, just enter the extension number EG, 1234
Restart the computer where the Tapi software is installed.
How do I add a group to the TSP:(Brief Description - contact Ericsson support for detail)
Start -> Control Panel -> Phone and modem options -> Advanced ->
Ericsson Tapi Converter Telephony Service Provider -> Configure -> Line/Mesages/Import/Trace
CLick on 'ADD', give it a name (start with GRP)
'Directory number' (ODN) enter the actual group number
'Type' If extension (digital or analog phone).
How do I check if the information is sent to Windows TSP:
Ericsson BP requires the Business link to be installed aswell as the Ericsson
TAPI drivers. This will connect to the PABX and receive the TAPI information.
This information is passed to the standard Windows TSP. RUBYTAPI connects to
this service. RUBYTAPI does not connect direct to the PABX (no COM port or IP
configuration). We received the Ericsson TAPI information from the Windows TSP.
The Windows TSP receives the TAPI information from the Business Link, which is
configured to connect to the PABX. Please note that the Ericsson Trace program
connects to the IPU card (uses CSTA and we require TAPI), therefore not a test
to see if Windows TSP is receiving the information from the PABX. Ensure that
the PABX IP is configured correct in the Ericsson TAPI software.
You can use our Monitor program to connect to Windows TAPI to see if it is
receiving the TAPI information from Ericsson.
