RUBY & TOPAZ & AMETHYST with the Panasonic TDA

Required:

Connection 1: USB or Network for TAPI
Connection 2: Serial Cable for PABX3
Panasonic TSP Build 1.1.0.34
You will find this on the TOPAZ CD or
the [www.datatex.co.za -> Support -> Login -> 3rd Party -> Panasonic ].
PABX3 with the Panasonic TDA plugin.
You will find this on the TOPAZ CD or
the [www.datatex.co.za -> Support -> Login -> TOPAZ -> Plugins ].
The file needs to be in C:\Program Files\Datatex\PABX3\Profiles\Lib
RUBYTAPI
[www.datatex.co.za -> Support -> Login -> RUBY].
Installation:

SMDR Data:

PABX3:

Serial Connection for PABX3:
Serial Cable for PABX3 to receive SMDR data from the PABX Unit.
Install PABX3 to receive SMDR data via serial cable.
TEST: Once you can see data in the VT100 and under CALL DATA in PABX,
proceed with installing the other Datatex software!

Setup SMDRLink to receive data from PABX3.

AMTTAPILINK
The Panasonic TDA does not give off extension numbers when account codes is used. AMTTAPILink
will provide this information. Please install AMTTAPILink on the 'RUBYTAPI' PC as it is
communicating with the Panasonic TSP.

TOPAZ:

TOPAZ must be installed and receiving data from PABX3.
Make sure you are getting the call actions for incoming/
outgoing and answered/unanswered and transferred/ internal.
SETUP -> PROPERTIES -> NETWORK & FRONT OFFICE:
Tick "RUBY Call Centre".
Enter the correct IP address for the RUBY server.Go to Data -> ExtensionsFind Each Extension that you want to monitor for Ruby and tick the
Ruby Extension tick box.
ACD Data:

Panasonic TAPI:

TAPI Connection (either USB or Network):
USB: USB cable, not more than 5 meters long
Network: Network cable and CTI Link Card for PABX.

Install the Panasonic TSP Build 1.1.0.34 (for KX-TDA)

USB:
On the Panasonic KX-TDA configuration screen
Change the KX_TDA Link to the USB Connection option.

If no data, look in the Windows event log for USB device errors.

TEST: Use the monitor program to check that tsp is receiving
call data. Once you can see data in the Panasonic tsp software,
proceed with installing the Datatex software!

To test if the TSP is working, run the Monitor program from
the EXTRAS folder on the Topaz CD. Press the build button and
click on OK on the message boxes that pops up. If your TSP is
functioning correctly a list of all the extensions and lines
should appear in the window at the top of the screen. Now you
can proceed. If it isn't working, the incorrect port might be
selected or another program might have the comport open, for
instance the PABX3. Try to reboot the computer, wait 1 minute
and try the monitor test again.

RUBY TAPI

Install the RUBY TAPI.
Click on the RubyTAPI icon, and then on "Configure..."
On the Ruby tab, tick "Send login info" and "Send Queue info"
Enter your Ruby IP address at the top
Select Panasonic KXTDA from the drop-down list in the middle
Configure the extensions and groups
Set Pre-queue delay to 2 seconds
Under the Topaz tab, enter your Topaz IP and make sure
that "Send CLI to Topaz" is ticked
Extension digits is set to 3 by default. Configure this
to the requirements for your setup.

TEST: To see information received by RUBYTAPI, you need to set the
logging to "debug", under CONFIGURE -> RUBY -> Log.
To view this file: C:\Program Files\Datatex\Ruby2\Logs\yyyyww\RubyTAPI.log,
where yyyy is the year, and ww is the week of the year.

RUBY

RUBY must be installed and receiving data.
