error: ...user name and password...setup a Firebird login...unable to open database.

1. Add the username and password.
   ALSO SEE: "Unavailable Database" when starting Application
   
2. If this does not work, the solution is to uninstall firebird
   and reinstall firebird with command line utilities correctly.

Please download the firebird from our website http://www.datatex.co.za,
member area then 3rd party applications.

The settings you need to use when installing firebird:

Under 'select components' and 'Full installation of super server
and development tools', select the following options:

• 'Super server binary'
  
• 'Server components'
• 'Developer and admin tools components'

Now add the user name and password.
