RS-232 for SMDR data via PABX3 to TOPAZ
Contact your PABX dealer regarding the Ericsson TAPI.

To receive SMDR data from the PABX unit
TOPAZ
To send SMDR data to RUBY

to send CLI to TOPAZ
to send Login/Logout and QUEUE information to RUBY

Setup:
SMDR DATA:
PABX3
Install PABX3 to receive data via serial cable.
TOPAZ
Install TOPAZ.
Configure your RUBY extension.
DATA -> EXTENSIONS, tick "Ruby Extension", for each call centre extension.
SETUP -> PROPERTIES -> NETWORK/FRONT OFFICE:
Tick "Ruby Call Centre".
Enter the IP of the RUBY server.ACD:
Ericsson TAPI:
Install the Ericsson TAPI.
Configure the extensions and groupsThis will give you the login and logout, aswell as queue data.

RUBY TAPI
Install the RUBY TAPI.
Right-Click on the RubyTAPI icon, and then on 'Configure...'
Select the 'RUBY' tab.
Under the 'RUBY' section:
Enter your Ruby IP address next to 'Host'
The default RUBY 'port' is 20000.
Under the 'PABX' section:
Select your pabx brand and model from the drop-down list in the middle
Select the 'Extensions' tab.
Configure the extensions and groups
'Number of digits' is set to 3 by default.
Configure this to the requirements for your setup.
Select the 'Queue' tab.
Default 'Pre-queue delay' is 0 seconds
Under the 'Queue' section:
Setup the:
Group
TAPIDevice
DID (optional)
Under the 'Topaz' tab,
enter your 'Topaz IP'
Default 'Port' is 25000
make sure that 'Send CLI' is ticked
TEST: To see information received by RUBYTAPI, you need to set the
logging to "debug", under CONFIGURE -> RUBY -> Log.
To view this file: C:\Program Files\Datatex\Ruby2\Logs\yyyyww\RubyTAPI.log,
where yyyy is the year, and ww is the week of the year.
RUBY:
Install RUBY.
