This document is just a base skeleton. RUBY setup is according to the solution for your client and the PABX they use. Refer to topic: What PABXs does Ruby work with?
Downloads required:
- Datatex software:
- Ruby Full Server
- Ruby Supervisor
- Ruby PC Board Install
- RUBY TAPI
- Firebird(Database engine).
You can search the internet for version 2.5.2, for example http://www.firebirdsql.org - You may also need to install TAPI to get the data. You will need to contact your service provider for install.

Steps to follow:
- Download all the required software.
- Install the RUBY TAPI or PABX3 or RUBY TAPI and PABX3 for your solution.
Make sure you are receiving data in RUBY TAPI / PABX3 from the PABX Unit, before you proceed.
On the RUBY Server:- The Database:
- Install Firebird.
To cofigure Firebird for RUBY see forum post:
"Error Opening Tables.Application closing down"
- Install Firebird.
- Run the Server install.
On the RUBY Supervisor PCs:
Install the following for each supervisor:- The database: Install Firebird.
- Run the RUBY Supervisor install.

On the RUBY Agents PCs:- Install the RUBY PCBoard for each agent.

TOPAZ Setup:- Start Topaz up again
- Go to [Setup -> Properties -> Network and Front Office]
Tick the Ruby Server - Go to [Data -> Extensions]
Find Each Extension that you want to monitor for Ruby, and tick the Ruby Extension tick box.
