How do I configure the RUBY PCBoard/s?

Postby Belinda Frick » Wed Dec 08, 2010 8:44 am

ONLY IN VERSION 2.2 AND NEWER:

Required:
  • RUBY PCBoard update-v2.3.7.5 or newer
    rby-pcboard-update-2_3_7_5.rar
  • RUBY Server update-v2.3.14.0 or newer

*** Please ensure that all PCBoards are on the same version.***

Install and Configuration:

The new PCBoard software must just be executed and it will search for the Ruby Server on the network and register itself on RUBY. The RUBY server and the PCBoards must be on the same IP range and Subnet for the broadcasting to work.

To see default setting, right-click on the 'RUBY PCBOARD' icon and select 'Configure'.

Key Value AutoShow N AutoLogin N IdleTimeout 30 History 60

To configure the agent in RUBY, do the following:

In the RUBY Call Centre Server, click on the 'Configure' button and select the 'Agents' tab,
under the 'Code' column select the agent and click on 'MODIFY'.
Please enter the agent's windows login name in the 'LOGIN' field.

When the PCBoard starts up, it will broadcast and send the login name to RUBY and it will link the agent to the correct user on the PC.

ONLY IN VERSION 2.2 AND BEFORE

Configuration:

Open the PCBoard.TXT file and change the settings in this file to reflect your installation.
Here is an example:

PCBOARD.TXT
------------------
127.0.0.1 <- Server Address
20000 <- Server Port Number ( Should never have to change this)
20001 <- PCBoard Port (Should Never have to change this)
1 <- The Ruby group that you are trying to monitor.
FirstGroup Title Here <- The Title of the pcboard.

Once you have this file, right click on your PCBoard.exe and select "Create Shortcut".
Now, right click on the Shortcut and add the location of the Pcboard.txt file to the end of the 'Target' section (e.g. "C:\Program files\Datatex\Ruby2\Pcboard\Pcboard.exe" "C:\Program Files\Datatex\Pcboard\Pcboard.txt")

Once complete, click to apply the changes and copy the new shortcut to the startup.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
