How to add an agent to RUBY?

Postby Belinda Frick » Wed Dec 08, 2010 11:18 am

Steps:

  • Login to the RUBY Server.
  • Click on 'Configure'
  • Click on the 'Agents' button.
  • Click on the '+' to add a new agent.
  • Enter the agent 'Code'.
This code is your own identifier. It must match what you created in RUBYTAPI under the 'QUEUE' tab as 'Group Number' and RUBY -> 'Configure' -> 'Group'
When you add an agent in the Supervisor, the Agent Code is just the Unique Identify code for this agent in Ruby.
    Enter the 'agent' name.
This is also your own description.
  • Leave 'Status' at default value.
  • If you use a PCBoard, enter the 'Login' name, else leave blank.
This login is the windows login that the agent is using on the PC.
  • 'Login' will be the network login.
  • Enter the 'Default Extension'.
This is the extension number of the agent.
  • Click on the 'tick' to save it.

Please note:

  1. You need to add this agent to its supervisor or you will not be able to view any information for this agent.
  2. You will only receive information for this agent if the TAPI of your PABX system is configured to send off events for this device.
