I get an error similar to 'Unable to complete network request to host "C"'

Your Ruby INI file does not point to a valid database. The database location
must be a valid database server and path.

There are two parts to the database location, a database server and a path.


gem:C:\Program Files\Datatex\Ruby2\Data\Ruby.gdb

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^--- path
^^^------------------------------------------------ database server

Make sure that the database server is the name of a computer on your network.
Try "ping gem" where gem is the database server.

Then make sure that the path is a valid path on the database server.
