SNOM phone in the RUBY3 Callcentre

Postby John Richard Procter » Tue Aug 16, 2011 12:20 pm

When using a SNOM phone in the RUBY3 Callcentre, you get more than one call at a time.

You can use a SNOM SIP phone as your phone in the Ruby 3 Call centre solution.

The default settings on the phone allows for more than one call to come through
at a time. The Call waiting indicator is shown on your display and the send
line on your phone is then flashing.

This is not appropriate in a call centre environment, since you will not be
able to handle 2 calls properly at the same time.

This feature can be disabled in the settings on the phone.
Connect to the phone's web interface, click on advanced and then click on the
audio tab at the top. Find the "Call Waiting Indication" and change the
setting to "OFF".

Now you will only be able to receive one call at a time and function
properly in the call centre environment.
