Siemens HIPATH: How do I add RUBY extension to be monitored?

Required:

• Siemens TSP
• RUBYTAPI
• RUBY Server
• TOPAZ
• Windows XP 32 Bit (Unless Siemens starts supporting Windows 7)

Steps:

• Siemens TSP:
  
  START -> CONTROL PANEL -> PHONE AND MODEM OPTIONS
  
  Select the Siemens Hipath from the drop down.
  Go to the monitor extensions option.
  
  Add the new extension or check if already added.
  
  
• RUBYTAPI
  
  The RUBYTAPI icon will be in the bottom right-hand corner next to the time.
  Right-click and select 'Configure'. Click on the extension tab.

  In this screenshot the 'Available' and 'Monitored' list is blank. If your TAPI is sending the information it will update the 'Available' list and you must select the extension to be monitored to move it to the 'Monitored' list. Click OK to update.
  
  
• TOPAZ
  
  DATA -> EXTENSIONS
  
  Click on the TIMER ON icon (top left hand side) to stop calls from loading into TOPAZ while changes are being made. Please note that no live updates will take place and it will influence your RUBY stats. Schedule your update time as per requirements.
  
  Search for the extension number by entering it in the block next to 'Find' and then click on Find. It must display the searched extension next to 'Extension', else it did not find it. You will then have to add it, by clicking on the '+' icon and entering the extensions number.
  
  Please tick the 'Ruby Extension' tick box.
  It must show the tick in black and not grey.
  
  Click on the tick icon to save your changes/update.
  
  Click on the TIMER OFF button, so that TOPAZ will start loading calls again.

  NOTE: In the screenshot no user name is configured,
  RUBY requires a User name to be configured.
  
  
• RUBY Server
  
  The extension must be configured in a group.

To add to the above.
Check available TAPI licenses are enough.
First go to phone and modem options in the control panel and select the HIPATH as per screenshot.

Then Configure a new device.

This device needs to be added in the format EXT***
Call number is the extension.
