If you use TOPAZ and Call Monitor, after each call Call Monitor will
prompt you for a Reference code. If you only use TOPAZ you can still
use the Reference code.
TOPAZ:
In TOPAZ > DATA > NUMBERS > Reference
If you enter a Reference Code here, then this telephone number will
always be associated with this Reference Code for all Call Data and
you will not be prompted to enter a Reference Code by TOPAZ Call
Monitor.
TOPAZ -> REPORTS -> STANDARD -> Reference reports, click on Update Ref.
If you click on the dropdown for "Select a reference to view", then
all the reference that was used in TOPAZ will be on your list.
TOPAZ Call Monitor:
If the Reference Code in the Numbers table is blank, then TOPAZ Call
Monitor will prompt you for a Reference Code. Therefore if the Number
is not associated with a Reference Code you can choose a reference
code for each call made or received for that telephone number, else
you will not be prompted for a Reference Code.
These Reference Codes can be stored in a central file.
ALSO SEE: What does the reference file in Call Monitor do?
You can use a reference code from the list or enter your own reference
code. This code will not be added to the list. Therefore the reference
codes in TOPAZ under Standard Reports will only be the reference codes
that was already used to identify a call, but the Call Monitor list
will only be the reference codes from the central/local file you created.
Topaz Call Monitor updates the TRAN file with the Reference Code of
your choice for each call made or received.
