--CALLGUARD is no longer available to new users. Support is available to existing Callguard clients only--*** Please Note: CallGuard does not work on ISDN lines.***
There are 2 options for barring:

Account Codes: Call Guard 1.2.0.0 or later
Extensions: DTP

Required:

Connection 1: USB or Network for TAPI
Connection 2: Serial Cable for PABX3
Panasonic TSP Build 1.1.0.34
PABX3: Panasonic TDA plugin or PanasonicTDA_CallGuard plugin
You will find this on the TOPAZ CD and the update
the [www.datatex.co.za -> Member Area -> PABX3 plugins -> Panasonic section].
The file needs to be in C:\Program Files\Datatex\PABX3\Profiles\Lib
DTP or Call Guard 1.2.0.0 or newer
DTP is on the TOPAZ CD in the DTP folder.
Update is on the internet [www.datatex.co.za -> Member Area -> Emerald -> dtp].

Installation of your barring option on the TDA:

Panasonic TDA:

Connect the Panasonic TDA PABX unit to the PC:

TAPI Connection for barring (either USB or Network):
USB: USB cable, not more than 5 meters long
Network: Network cable and CTI Link Card for PABX.

Serial Connection for PABX3:
Serial Cable for PABX3 to receive SMDR data from the PABX Unit.
Install the Panasonic TSP Build 1.1.0.34 (for KX-TDA)

Download available at:
[www.datatex.co.za -> Member Area -> 3rd Party -> Panasonic -> tda_tsp].

USB:
On the Panasonic KX-TDA configuration screen
Change the KX_TDA Link to the USB Connection option.

If no data, look in the Windows event log for USB device errors.

Once you can see your call data in the Panasonic tsp software,
and therefor have call data from the PABX unit,
proceed with installing the Datatex software for your barring option!

PABX3:

Install PABX3 for SMDR data

Account Codes:
TOPAZ 1.7.0.7
Let Pabx3 run with the PanasonicTDA_CallGuard plugin.
Enable Callguard in TOPAZ,
under SETUP -> PROPERTIES -> NETWORK/FRONT OFFICE.
ALSO SEE: How do I configure Call Guard?

Extensions:
Let Pabx3 run with the PanasonicTDA plugin.
Change the "listen port" in PABX3 under OPTIONS -> NETWORK
ALSO SEE: How do I use DTP and PABX3 together on one PC?

In PABX3 under CALL DATA, you must see your calls.
If not make sure PABX3 is setup correct for your barring option.

Barring:

Install TOPAZ for budgeting facility
SEE: How to setup and use the Budget Facility in Topaz

Install either Call Guard (for barring accounts) or DTP (for barring extensions).

Accounts:
TOPAZ 1.7.0.7
Call Guard 1.2.0.0 or later
Once the TOPAZ budget is setup, it will update CallGuard.
Ensure that Call Guard is always running.

PABX3: Use the TDA-CallGuard plugin for the PABX3

Extensions:
DTP:

Testing:

Set your budget to for example R1,00 for your test user. Link it
to the extension you will be testing from.

Make a test call that exceeds R1,00. Your budget amount must now
be negative. If not check that the call data was updated live from
PABX3 to TOPAZ.

Check in the TOPAZ.log file, it will have an entry that "COS" level
was sent to the PABX.

TOPAZ -> SETUP -> RUNNING LOGS. Entries is listed from oldest to newest.
The 'topaz.log' is in the folder 'C:\Program Files\Datatex\Topaz'.

This message is sent to DTP. The DTP log will contain the entry. The
DTP log must be set to 'Debug level'(right-click on the DTP icon
and select 'Configuration', under the 'Logging' section). The 'dtp.log'
file is in the folder 'C:\Program Files\Datatex\DTP'.

DTP sends it to the PANASONIC software (TSP), which will relay it via
network of USB to the PABX. DTP talks to Micro Soft TAPI(Telephony service),
which Panasonic connects to, see
How do I check if the PC is receiving TAPI from the Panasonic TDA?

If no barring is done, either the Bar level was setup incorrect(get
the correct bar level from the Panasonic technician) or the TSP is
not communicating with the PABX (network or USB connection between
PABX and PC is down). Please get the Panasonic technician to sort
this out.

Note:

TOPAZ bar extension. Panasonic has the option to configure account codes
to phone from an extension that is barred. The problem is the account
code call will still use the budget of the user linked to the extension
(provided that the PABX gives off the extension number when using an account
code). Panasonic allso has a pin code option (access to open the phone).
Use this with extension barring.
