Saving Blank Tran files over the existing files

NOTE: The blank tran will replace your current database file with all call details with a blank database file.

You need to do this, because there is a limit
of +- 100000 records when trying to re-index /
rebuild files.

  • Close TOPAZ. Make a backup of the DATA folder.

  • Get the required files from the CD in either:
    • the DATA folder(tran.db, tran.px, tran.val)

Copy the files to the Topaz Data folder.
      (C:\Program Files\Datatex\Topaz\Data).

Remove the read-only attribute. (Select the TRAN files,
and then right-click on one of them and choose Properties.
If the read-only checkbox has a tick [grey or black], then
the read-only attribute has been set. Click on the checkbox
      until it is blank.)

      OR
    • under the EXTRA folder use the BlankTran.exe program.

Run the exe to extract the files into the DATA folder.

    • Download and unrar.
      BlankTran.rar
  • You will now have to import all your old call data.

See: How do I import extra PIP files into Topaz?
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
