Field description must have a value

The description field is the heading of your TOPAZ reports.
Therefore one of your report setting files are damaged.

Options to resolve the issue:
  • fix the custom report file,
  • retrieve from backup (if available) or
  • recreate this file.

Steps to follow:
  • First try to fix the file by re-indexing it:
  • If this does not work and you have a backup of the TOPAZ data folder:
    • Close TOPAZ.
    • Copy the custom.* from your backup.
    • Open TOPAZ.
    • If you get no error, repeat copy of each file you tried to re-build,
      as explained above.
  • If the error is not resolved, you will have to recreate the files. You will need the TOPAZ CD or request the custom files from Datatex Support.

    • Close TOPAZ.
    • Start with the custom.* files.
You will find the custom.* files on the [TOPAZ CD -> Data]
Copy all the custom.* files to C:\Program Files\Datatex\TOPAZ\Data
    • Open TOPAZ.
    • If the error is resolved, proceed with adding all your custom report settings under [REPORTS -> CUSTOM]. The TOPAZ default reports will be available. Use printed to reports from the customer to help with the settings.
    • If the error still appears, repeat the process, as explained above, using the exception.* files.
