Overview:
When a call is made:
the PABX unit sends the call data via serial cable to the
comport of the PC.
The data can be viewed in PABX3 -> TOOLS -> VT100.
If the correct end of line character is used, this data is
written to a rawdata file in C:\Program Files\Datatex\PABX3\rawdata.
PABX3 uses the plugin to translate the call data and create
the pabx.pip file, which is written to the folder
C:\Program Files\Datatex\PABX3.
From here TOPAZ will import the pabx.pip file.
Making a test call:
Right-click on the white telephone (right-hand bottom
corner of your screen).
Choose show
Choose TOOLS -> VT100
Make a test call.
When you put the phone down the call data will show on
the VT100 screen.
This data will show for example the date and time of
your call, duration, extension, line number, telephone number.
Use this to verify the call, for example the duration of
the call or call direction (incoming and outgoing).
If you close the VT100 screen, the grey PABX3 Call Data
screen should now show the data from VT100 under the column
headings specified.
Conclusion:
If the data is translated incorrectly, it could be the following:
The output of the PABX unit:
Is not set to the standard for the PABX3 plugin.
Is scrambled.
