This is a windows notification alert, it is not a PABX3 problem.
The beeping actually occurs when the serial port receives data and not when PABX3
receives data. The beeping therefore occurs before PABX3.
It is possible that either:
There is a problem with the memory on the PC
The hard drive is running out of disk space or
The PC is overheating (Usually the PC would hang if this is the case). or
The serial port settings on the motherboard need to be changed. It is sometimes set
by default to beep everytime data is received through the serial port.
We suggest that you use windows help and support for obtaining information regarding
this.
For example in windows XP:
In windows explorer, click on the HELP button on the top of the window.
Type in 'Performance alerts' in the search section and click 'Search'.
This will display a list of possibilites and things to check on your PC.
* PABX3 version 3.3.3.6 and newer creates a log file, which you can check for errors.
* Check the Windows event viewer for errors.
