Call Guard after version 1.1.0.0
Call Guard no longer uses the INI file to store account codes, numbers
and extensions.
The following limitations still exist:
On Windows 95/98/ME, Call Guard is limited to 32000 account codes,
numbers and extensions.
On Windows 2000/XP/2003, the limit is the physical memory on the computer.
For practical purposes, we recommend that you not use
more than 5000 account codes, numbers and extensions.
Call Guard before version 1.1.0.0
Call Guard itself is limited by the .INI file and available resources (memory and CPU).
Windows imposes a 64k limit on .INI files, and Call Guard is limited to 2048 characters
per line.
This means that as account codes, numbers or extensions get longer, you can
store fewer of them. The following table is valid for account codes, numbers
and extensions.
- Code: Select all
Length Maximum
-------------------
1 1018
2 678
3 509
4 407
5 339
6 290
7 254
8 225
9 203
10 184
11 169
12 156
13 145
14 135
15 126
These numbers assume a fixed length. Call Guard can handle variable length
numbers, codes and extensions.
