This problem can sometimes be caused when there is another TOPAZ running in the
background.
- Make sure that there are no TOPAZ's already running on the PC. If you dont see anything
in the Task Manager, go to:
START -> Programs -> Accessories -> System tools -> System information
-> Software environment -> running tasks.
If there are any TOPAZ's running there please click on 'End Task'.
Proceed to C:\programfiles\datatex\topaz\topaz.ini
Set the version back to 1.2.0.0. Open TOPAZ.
Click "Abort" to all the error messages. - Also check that the idapi32.dll is in "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Borland Shared\BDE".
- Check that the folder is not marked as 'read only' and that the user logged in has full
control over it. (Right click -> properties and security)
TOPAZ should now open without any problems.
