Please note: This document is suggested programming
of the TDA PABX to produce EXTENSION and VERIFY codes in the
output. You will require a Panasonic TDA PABX technician to
configure it.
In order to configure this you have to use your Account code
and verify code in one dialing string. This is unfortunately
alot of programming procedures but it will solve the problem.
- Step 1
Put your extension in class of service 7, let's use extension
101 for example. - Step 2
Program a Verified code,example 4242 and a verified pin,
example 1 (TDA MPR V 3). Normally your client will now dial
*49 101 #*47*42421 0 and the telephone number. - Step 3
To use this with an account code in order for the SMDR to
output the extension number, your client will need to dial
*49 101 #*47*42421 0 and the telephone number
(101 here is his own extension number)
Your SMDR output will now look like this- Code: Select all
Date Time Ext Co DialNumber Ring Duration Acc Code CD
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
05/01/01 11:31AM *4242 01 0113131645 0'01 00:00'18 101
The man 3000, hard and soft or TOPAZ can now be manipulated
under the PABX format to swap around the extension number
and the account code.
NOTE:
The dial string is too long for the customer to dial
*49 101 #*47*42421 0 - Step 4
In order to make the dial string shorter you will then put
*49 101 #* 47* in extension 101's personal speed
dial. Exmaple, Personal speed dial 00: *49 101#* 47*,
your client will then dial ***00 42421 0 and the
telephone number.
If the dial string is still too long proceed........ - Step 5
Now you can go the numbering plan and remove the #
next to Redial - Step 6
Go to Quick dial and program # to dial ***00.
(Now your client will only dial #42421 0 and the telephone number)
This means that you would have to program a personal
Speed dial for each extension user containing his
own extension number under ***00, this you
will only need to do once. In other words, if
extension 10's user walks to extension 102, and he
uses his code to make a call, it will show that
user with code 4242 dialed from extension 102. This
is then identical to what the TD range will show.
In theory, what is then happening is that ***00
is dialling *49101#*47* and # is dialing ***00,
so by dialling # the string that will actually be dialed is
*49101#*47*
