Steps to follow:
- Install an FTP server on the same PC as Topaz.
- Setup the PBX to FTP the data to the Topaz PC.
- Make sure of the location of the file being send via ftp. You will need this for the input file configuration in PABX3.
- Configure the PABX3 to read the input file. Don't use the LIVE method. This way once the file is imported, the file is moved to the Rawdata folder and a new file can be created once the FTP come in. ALSO SEE: Setting up file input on the pabx3
- Select the required plugin for the output format.
Call data from multiple PABX units loaded into one TOPAZ:
If all PABX units is in the same rate zone, you can use one TOPAZ. The SMDR data is collect by PABX3 and the costing is done in TOPAZ, therefor only one costing zone can be handled.
- After installing your TOPAZ and therefore the 'first' PABX3. Get the setup as explained above to work.
- Once this is working, you can copy the PABX3 folder and rename it to identify the second PABX. Note that the plugin will be in a different folder for this PABX3. You need to change the file path under "[OPTIONS -> FILE PATHS -> PABX DLL]"
- The "PIP FILE PATH" must point to "C:\Program Files\datatex\pabx3\pabx.pip", as with the first PABX3 installation. All PABX3 installs will write out the call data to this location for TOPAZ to import.
- Repeat this for all instances of PABX3. One PABX3 for each PABX.
