For Topaz:

This may be caused by old versions of the ComCtl32.DLL and OCX files that are
installed on Windows 95 machines. By upgrading to Internet Explorer 5.0.1 or
    Higher, this problem is solved.

This error is usually accompanied with the error that the cfx32.ocx could not
be registered. Read the SSL document regarding this for more info on fixing that
    problem.

Also See: error: license tchartfx invalid

If the BDE installation was downloaded from the internet the cfx32 files
will not be present in the "C:window\system32" (32Bit Windows) or "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\" (64bit Windows) folder and needs to be registered once you have the files.
Move the ocx files to the C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ if you are using a 64 Bit Windows.
    Windows 64
    Code: Select all
    regsvr32 C:\Windows\SysWOW64\cfx32.ocx

    Windows 32
    Code: Select all
    regsvr32 C:\Windows\system32\cfx32.ocx

Also See: OCX failed to register on installation

For Emerald (dialer and VIP):

The dialer is a COM object which must be registered before it can be used.
Click on Start -> Run -> Browse. Select the dialer application, and click
the "Open" button. You should now see something similar to
    "C:\Program Files\Datatex\Emerald\dialer.exe"

Add the text "/regserver" after this, so the full line reads:
    "C:\Program Files\Datatex\Emerald\dialer.exe" /regserver

Click on the "OK" button. This will register the dialer.
