How do I re-register Topaz

Postby Belinda Frick » Mon Nov 22, 2010 10:33 am

Close Topaz.
The re-registration must be done on the MASTER TOPAZ,
not the Client version.

If TOPAZ was moved from one PC to another (or in
some cases even if it was moved from one directory
to another on the same PC) TOPAZ will seem like
a Client version.

Do the re-registration on the PC that will be used
as the MASTER TOPAZ.

Reset Serial:

Firstly you need the RESET Program:

    • Download and unrar:
      Topaz.ResetSerial.install.rar

      Extracted file name is 'Topaz.ResetSerial.Install.exe'.
You can run it, click INSTALL, then ACCEPT and NO TO ALL.
      Click on Reset, then Close.

    • On the TOPAZ 1.6.0.0 CD in the EXTRAS folder
      Topaz.ResetSerial.Install.exe
You can run this from the CD, click INSTALL, then ACCEPT and NO TO ALL.
      Click on Reset, then Close.

    • or if you do not have the TOPAZ 1.6.0.0 CD:
The reset program needs to be put in the Topaz Data folder.
      [C:\Program Files\Datatex\Topaz\Data]
Run the program and click on "Reset Serial".

The registration form:

Close the program and start Topaz.
You might receive an error that your Topaz has expired,
don't worry about this.

In TOPAZ go to SETUP -> COMPANY DETAIL
Make sure the company details are entered and click on the tick
to save it.

In TOPAZ go to SETUP -> PROPERTIES -> LICENSE
There must be a serial number displayed or something went
wrong with the reset.

If so do the reset serial again.

If the company details are entered and you have a serial
number on the License Screen, print a new license and
enter the detail and sign it.

Fax that to Datatex Dynamics' office (+27 21 592-4077).

The re-registration will be done free of charge
and the new License number SMS'ed to your cellphone.
(If you entered your Cell nr.) Enter the new License number,
click on License. You will get a message that the licensing
was successfull, click OK.
Close Topaz, Open it again.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
