Testing rates

Postby Belinda Frick » Mon Nov 22, 2010 3:19 pm

When testing the cost of calls, please use at least 6 digits (including the
Dialcode) to test with. This will ensure that the correct dial code is used
for the calculations.

E.g. Use (021592) to test with, not just (021).

Choose [RATES -> Standards ->]

Information required:
enter telephone number,
choose the date and time,
enter the duration.
Click on Test.

The cost for this call will be shown in the white block.

Fault finding:

If you click on the "Prefix X-Ref Table" tab, the dialcode
used to calculate the rate will be highlighted. If this is
not the dialcode of the number that you used in your test,
then the dialcode is not on the rates system or the rates
files are damaged. Do a load rates or download the lastest
rates from the website and update TOPAZ with these rates.

If you click on the "Rates" tab, it will display the set of
rates used. On the left-hand description grid, the timetable
with the arrow next to it, is the rate used for the date and
time your specified.
