TOPAZ does not use the RPC protocol, because it is a local database.
If you however used a non-standard setup (which we do not recommend), for example placed the database on a drive other than C and it is mapped, you can get this error. It could be because you do not have access to it or the firewall is enabled.
- The database path must be in the TOPAZ.ini file in the folder 'C:\Program Files\Datatex\Topaz', herewith example of ini entry:

- Also clear the "Start in" of the shortcut. When you then run the shortcut it will use the database path specified in the TOPAZ.ini file.
