How do I add/modify/delete an extension/account code/user name in TOPAZ?- Login with Maintenance or Admin.
- Click on the DATA button on the left.
- Click on the Extension/Users/Accounts tab at the top of the screen.
This is the screen that is used to enter details for a extension.
NOTE! If the "TIMER ON" button is on, while trying to edit information on
this screen, it will try and locate extensions live. You can turn the timer off
while you edit a extension to prevent it from "jumping".
- Enter the Extension/Users/Accounts you need to modify/add/delete in
to block to the left of the "FIND" button. Click on "FIND".
1. EDIT: If the Extension/Users/Accounts already exists, its details will
appear on the screen. Click on the Edit symbol (triangle facing upwards).
2. ADD: If the Extension/User/Account does not exist you can add it.
Click on the "+". Now you have a blank record.
3. Delete: If the are multiple instances or if you simply want to delete
an Extension/User/Account, Click on the minus symbol "-" to delete.
If you are adding a new user, enter all your details required, as listed below.
Extension :The extension number.
User:The User associated with this extension.
Branch:The Branch associated with this extension.
Department:The Department associated with this extension.
Section:The Section associated with this extension.
NOTE!
Before you enter the details for the extension,
make sure all your users is setup with the correct details as listed above.
When you then select a User under [DATA -> EXTENSIONS], it will pick up the
Branch/Department/Section for this users from [DATA -> USERS].
The Branch/Department/Section under [DATA -> EXTENSIONS] and [DATA -> USERS] must match.

This will happen if there is a duplicate entry.
