1. Paradocs files:
The Pdoxusrs.net file is supposed to be created in the
c:\tmptopaz directory by the BDE. If this file is created in
the Data directory, another user will not be able to correctly
access the data.
Close the Master TOPAZ and all Client TOPAZs. Make sure no TOPAZ
is running in the background on one of the PCs.
Search for file on the entire harddrive and delete all these
Pdoxusrs.net files.
2. Shortcut:
When Topaz is started, the path of the data must be specified as a parameter
of the executable. If there is a master and client version of the program,
both copies of the program must have exactly the same path, e.g.
\\TopazPC\Topaz\Topaz.exe \\TopazPC\Topaz\Data
If you right-click on the shortcut for Topaz and look at the properties for it,
you can change the target on the Shortcut screen.
To check the shortcut Also See: Installation of a client version of Topaz
3. WINDOWS: Make sure that the TOPAZ folder is fully shared.
Both options must be ticked:
Share folder.
Allow network users to make changes.
ALSO SEE: Access rights to run TOPAZ under XP and 2000
4. WINDOWS: You must be able to edit the registry.
Make sure of the rights of the user login you are using.
