Failed to initialize Borland Database Engine

Postby Belinda Frick » Fri Nov 19, 2010 11:56 am

This could be caused by:

The Borland Database Engine (BDE) not being installed.
Install the BDE from:
The Internet: [www.datatex.co.za -> member area -> logins -> 3rd Party Applications]
The TOPAZ CD: BDE -> Run Setup (Double click on setup.exe to run)
If you have anti-virus software on the PC, it will slow the
installation down. Check with the IT Department if you can close
the anti-virus software down while you are installing the BDE.
You must have right to install software.

Insufficient disk space available on the PC hard drive.
Free up some disk space or make sure that there aren't too many
applications open at the same time using all the resources.
Upgrade to TOPAZ version 1.7.0.4 or newer.
